Things My Momma Taught Me:

How to read.
How to say “please.”
How to poop in a toilet.

How to knit.
How to make a pie.
How to drive a stick shift [Dad helped].

To enjoy strong tea.
To enjoy music.
To enjoy naps.

To think before I speak [an ongoing lesson].
To consider others before myself.
To smile before frowning.

To love words.
To love people.
To love myself.
